My story
Reflection has always been my thing—long before it became a buzzword. As a (media) educator and literary scholar, I discovered early on the transformative power of consciously pausing and describing with words. In my educational work with young adults, I repeatedly saw how reflection empowers people to integrate experiences and find creative solutions.
The position in the tech industry opened my eyes: here, where innovation is a top priority, there was paradoxically often a lack of time and methodology for reflection. Teams developed brilliant digital tools, but made decisions on autopilot or based on gut feeling. I saw how important it is—especially in today's fast-paced and AI-driven environments—to question, reflect, and make conscious (design) decisions together and alone.
This experience at the intersection of education and technology shaped my conviction: self-reflection is not only an essential skill for the future, but also a trainable ability that is available to everyone. Successful reflection—as simple and as difficult as it may be—holds all the magic for great things.
With Lill Reflection, I translate this into understandable methods and tools—for people and organizations that not only want to function, but also want to consciously shape their future.
My current favorite focus is the field where the social and the tech meets. Because this is what shapes everything more than ever, but what stays the same is: we're (social) entities.
